Parks & Facilities
Public Works – Engineering This subject alley closure is approximately 4.4m (14.5ft) wide, seems to be untraveled and composed mostly of grass. There are no municipal sewers or manholes located in the closure. Public Works suggests the entire alley be closed from Calumet to Arcadia. If the entire alley were closed, the abutting owner at the north limit would be required to obtain a driveway permit to complete and maintain the approach to City Standards AS-221 or AS-222. There are hydro poles, guy wires, anchors and overhead wires running through the closure. An easement is required for utilities. There are existing fence encroachments within the closure. This alley appears to serve no purpose by CR146/2005; therefore, we have no objections to closure of this alley.
Public Works – Environmental No concerns from Environmental Services
Public Works – Transportation Vehicular access is currently unavailable to any properties. The alley has been overtaken by many property owners. The existing Alexandra Ave ROW is less than what would be required for a local road. We recommend trading the alley to properties fronting Alexis to add to the Alexandra Ave ROW, or to defer until the Alexandra Ave ROW is established. This recommendation can apply to all properties fronting Alexandra Ave north to Arcadia, and south to Ojibway.
Transit Windsor
Bell Canada Bell Canada has aerial facilities within the proposed closure area. We request an easement over the entirety of the alley or, or a 3m wide strip measuring 1.5m on either side of the aerial installation to extend from the pole to a minimum of 1.5m past the anchor installation, measuring 0.5m on either side of the guywire installation, as reasonably permitted
Cogeco Cable Systems Inc. Please be advised that Cogeco WILL require an easement for thislocation.

Windsor Utilities – Water No Objections
