- 4. RISK ANALVSIS:
- The largest risk is the large population of birds being in proximity to the airport and crossing flight paths. It is estimated that more aggressive techniques to discourage the geese or use herding techniques that cost approximately $20,000 would be required in a budget.
- 5. FINANCIAL MATTERS: At this point, any efforts being made are within the appropriate budgets of either YQG or the City of Windsor. Should Council wish to pursue these more aggressive techniques, herding and moving of geese, $20,000 should be set aside into either the Capital Budget or the YQG Budget.
- 6. CONSULTATIONS: Public Works, Parks, Pollution Control, YQG
- 7. CONCLUSION:
- At this point in time, Administration does not plan to insert the $20,000 into the Capital or Operating Budget for more aggressive methods. Allowing the grass to grow to a longer length will be pursued.
