Pool Admission Standards

Facility Swim Test

To successfully pass the swim test, individuals must swim continuously 1 length of the 25m pool. Any aged swimmer may be asked to do the swim test.

What to wear

Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper or pool pants. No regular diapers allowed. Others must wear clean attire used only for swimming

Pool Admission Standards and Wristband Policy

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of children using the facility during public and family swims, the following admission standards are in place. Supervision and ratio requirements will be strictly upheld. If swim test is passed = Green wristband. Can swim in both pools If a swimmer cannot pass the swim test = Red wristband. Must stay in small pool or shallow end of 25m pool only.

5 years and under ALWAYS accompanied.

Adult must be in arms' reach at ALL times.

6-7 years old & CAN pass swim test = GREEN wristband

Caregiver must remain in the pool. Child must complete the swim test EACH time.

10-13 years old. No supervision required.

Note: Exception during Family swim all children 14 and under are to be accompanied in the water by an adult 18+.

6-9 years old & CANNOT pass swim test = RED wristband

ALWAYS accompanied. Adult must be in arms' reach at ALL times.

8-9 years old & CAN pass swim test = GREEN wristband

Caregiver must remain in the facility.

Always accompanied

Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is AT LEAST 14 years of age and is responsible for direct supervision. Caregiver must be in bathing attire and within arms' reach of the child/ children at all times both in and out of the water.

Caregiver

Must be AT LEAST 14 years of age and are responsible for the children in their care while in the facility.
